We can never understand the God-head without going back to Genesis.  The answer to who God is starts in Genesis one.  The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God!  When God stepped out of eternity into time he created what we now call the physical world. We cannot give an account of the dateless past for the Bible says that the earth was void  and without form. Until God created what we now call earth there were no other existence of life mentioned or of a living God.  St. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him (that's God) and without him was not anything made that was made"  There is nothing made on this earth that was not made by God.  You may say, did not Edison created the light bulb which is another form of light? Your God is not the only one who created something.  Yes I know:  but before Adam and Eve disobeyed God man did not have to work at night: Night was for man to rest.  The reason why we have to work at night is because of all our inventions.  God did not intended for man to work 24/7, but that we should observe the Sabbath and rest on the seventh day.

God is One

"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22."  God is singular in Deity and plural in His manifestations.  He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but He is the same person.  He said again chapter 43:10, "beside me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."  Where is God?  John 4:24 tells us that "God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."  What then is truth?  We go back to John 1:1"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the word was God. Verse 14"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."  Seeing then that God became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory - that means that God became a man and lived in this world among people, so then God clothed himself in a human body of flesh and became Christ our Saviour.
